Helaine Blum, JD — President & CEO: Helaine co-founded Grand Ave Economic Community Development Corp., now known as Pathlight HOME, alongside Rev. Fred Maxwell 26 years ago. She has worked tirelessly as an advocate for those experiencing homelessness throughout Florida. She is a founding member, past President, Treasurer, and past interim Executive Director of Central Florida’s Homeless Services Network. She also served as past Treasurer and President of the Florida Coalition for the Homeless. Helaine has been practicing law in Florida for the past 40 years.
Babette Allen, MBA, Executive Director — Operations: Babette has served on Pathlight HOME’s senior leadership team since 2007. She has 20+ years of experience in property management serving low-income and chronically homeless individuals. In addition to her MBA, she completed training with the National Center for Housing Management and has a variety of HUD specific certifications. Babette was recently honored with the 2017 Lowell Stafford Community Leadership Award.
Audrey Sandford, RN, CRRN — Lead Case Manager: Audrey began her work at Pathlight HOME in 2002. She brings 30+ years of nursing and rehabilitation experience into her work with our residents. She also manages Pathlight HOME’s RESTORE program, which provides permanent supportive housing for 60+ chronically homeless adults. Audrey’s professional competency is enriched by a deep sense of empathy and compassion.
Gabriella Trevino — Development Associate: Gabriella has brought her passion for people from Chicago to Pathlight HOME. Her background includes positions in event planning and experience as a Volunteer Coordinator position with an international service organization. She is committed to combining her coordination skills with community outreach to connect more people with the mission of helping those facing homelessness.
